Spray Deluge Systems –
Intense Fire Fighting
Spray deluge extinguishing systems are fixed, half-stationary or automatic fire extinguishing systems for application in areas hazardous to quickly spreading fires and in cases where water can be used as suitable extinguishing agent. Besides, they are employed for cooling as well as for the protection of objects especially sensitive to heat and highly combustible (object protection).
The installation engineering of spray deluge extinguishing systems is principally that of a conventional sprinkler system. The crucial difference, though, is that all extinguishing nozzles spread over a protected section or object are always opened thus guaranteeing a quick and intensive water impact when the system is released.
In case of a fire, separate device groups will be released automatically (by electric, hydraulic or pneumatic means) or manually.
